A long time ago in a lifetime far, far away….
or more precisely, in Oakland County, MI in 1994….

Mr. Black and Mr. Grey, along with a couple of other friends, formed a garage band. They had a great deal of fun, including playing the name the band this week game, but over a couple of years they went through quite a few new members and slowly petered out.  Mr. Grey occasionally worked on a bit of music by himself, while Mr. Black played guitar in a handful of other short lived bands. Over the next nearly two decades the two got together several more times to write a handful of new songs, but eventually the inability to record and a lack of equipment would lead them to walking away in frustration.

In 2010 Mr. Grey and Mr. Black decided to give it another shot, but with a new approach. Instead of worrying about what they couldn’t do or what equipment they didn’t have they chose to concentrate on what they could do and what they did have. Rather than compromising with a band and creating music they were never quite satisfied with or concerning themselves with how an audience would react to it, they wanted to work on their own and devise music they both loved. Music that they found interesting and fulfilling, music that they enjoyed and that was uniquely their own. The project took over three years to complete, with several periods of little getting done (both having jobs and families), but in the end they were both fantastically happy with the finished project, Falling Down, and even had enough extra material for a second EP, Stillborn and Afterbirths.

They look forward to continuing to create music that inspires them in the years to come.
